Annwn or
Annwfn (Middle Welsh Annwvn, sometimes inaccurately written Annwyn,
Annwyfn or Annwfyn) was the Otherworld in Welsh mythology. Ruled by
Arawn, or much later by Gwynn ap Nudd, it was essentially a world of
delights and eternal youth where disease is absent and food is
ever-abundant. Annwn was said to lie so far to the west that not even
Manawydan ap Llyr had found it. It later became Christianised and
identified with the land of souls that had departed this world, for you
could only reach Annwn by dying yourself. It was also said, though,
that Annwn could be entered by those still living if they could find
the door...
This track dates back to 2006, when it regretfully got abandoned due to lack of time. Nevertheless it´s here now, back from the pool of unfinished projects - hope you enjoy!

Jack
Vance once mentioned a wonderful place in his book ´Dying Earth´:
Embelyon. A realm removed from the Dying Earth; it may be located in a
different solar system or on another plane of existence entirely. It is
the dwelling-place of Pandelume, who retains access to the many spells
and arts which human civilization has lost. It is described as a
fantastical landscape with many unearthly plants and animals, and a sky
of shifting prismatic colours.
In other words - brilliant stuff to get the creative juices flowing! Embelyon has been written for a contest run by
Camelaudio.com; and - cough - it also qualified as one of the winning entries :)
Comments from the jury: ´This orchestral piece shows that that Cameleon isn't just capable of unusual pads, but for orchestral elegance with a staggering 17 instances of Cameleon in one tune´

New
track released: Return of the Barbarian. Almost four years after
writing the original Barbarian I´ve put some ´leftover´ ideas into
a new track - and so the epic saga continues. Inspired by the fantasy art of
Boris Vallejo and John Howe it´s written in a style of music I
like best - epic soundtrack. Anyway, it´s on the music page - enjoy!
